Entertainment is entertaining. From the Writers-turned-director duo – Sajid-Farhad has come out a comedy movie which is an honest try to make us laugh. Though the movie has taken a fresh move by adding a dog in the title role but other than that the jokes and gags are cliché and has no new impact to the audience. Entertainment 2021 Movie plot

Akhil Lokhande, (Akhshay Kumar) is a poor fellow struggling for some money for his ailing father but he comes to know that the person for whom he is struggling day and night isn’t his real father. In fact he gets to know that one of the richest diamond merchants, Pannalal Johri is his real father but all his happiness and dreams to claim his right from Pannalal are shattered when he comes to know that he is dead and has willed his entire property and wealth to a Dog named Entertainment.

Entertainment leads the life of a celebrity and there are a large number of people who have their eyes on Entertainment’s wealth including Akhshay Kumar. The mad action starts when Akhshay Kumar decides to kill Entertainment and grab the money. He gets his friend Krushna Abhishek’s support. Pannalal’s brother Karan and Arjun (played by Sonu Sood and Prakash Raj) also want the property. But that’s not the whole trouble. Even Akhshay’s love Tamannaah Bhatia’s father played by Mithun Chakraborty is a greedy man who wants the money too. But who will win it finally that is the suspense.

Performances of the Star Cast

Akshay Kumar plays the lead as a desperate man hungry for wealth. His chemistry with the dog is good and far better than his chemistry with his female lead Tamannaah Bhatia. His performance is brilliant. Akshay’s role has a fine resemblance with his other film of almost a same kind, De Dhana Dhan.
Krushna Abhishek as Akki’s friend and guide is too funny. It’s his second Bollywood venture after ‘Bol Bachchcan’ and yet again he grabs the opportunity to deliver a fine act. Tamannaah Bhatia is looking smoking hot and grabs few more scenes than her previous ventures. Sonu Sood and Prakash Raj are outstanding and Johnny Lever as Entertainment’s lawyer is unique. They are no doubt the assets of the film. Lastly the role of Entertainment played by a dog is bound to grab your attention.

Final Verdict

. “Veerey Di Wedding” and “Johnny Johnny” are catchy but not to be remembered after getting out of the theatre. The jokes are simple and old and the story line has no logic. But the film can get a number of children as their audience as it will surely entertain them and for the adults it can be a decent one time watch.
